On Your Side

Instead of sitting across the table from our clients, we sit beside them. This same ‘side of the table’ mindset empowers the client, allowing us to offer them a comprehensive set of options and investment opportunities.

A Wealth of Experience

Cornerstone events let us come together in a social setting to affirm our relationships, explore our passions, and encourage our community.

Serving Our Community

These are just a few of the organizations Cornerstone supports through our employees’ time, talent and resources.

Cornering a New Market

1988

Driven by a desire to find a better way of doing business, the Cornerstone philosophy comes into being with our unique, ‘same side of the table’ approach.

“We were looking for people who were willing to think a little differently, because we were offering a different kind of service.”

1999

Cornerstone’s financial growth continues unlocking investment opportunities that were formerly reserved for ultra-wealthy or institutional investors.

“Smart is only part of the equation. Thanks to our size, we can give you access, pricing scale and relationships that cannot be achieved on your own.”

2007-2009

The great recession tested the mettle of our planning work and investment approach. Yes, there were many sleepless nights. But by sticking to our long-term investment strategies, we allowed our clients to maintain their commitment to their financial and lifestyle goals.

“We’ve been tested. It’s not just a theory, it has worked in practice as well. Clients can lean on us the next time something unexpected happens.”

Cornerstone is founded in Bellevue, Washington.

1990

Driven largely by word-of-mouth endorsements by our clients, our unique approach gets validated when one of the largest firms in the Pacific Northwest adds Cornerstone to their executive level compensation package.

“When it comes to managing wealth, our performance and service has earned the right to be considered by the best.”

2006

After more than two decades of success, Cornerstone begins a leadership transition. Unlike other firms, this period is significant for what hasn’t changed.

“The leadership transition is the final point of validation for our new model. We’ve become a firm that’s about more than any one contributor or personality. We will be around for the long term.”
